ONE HUMAN. TWO FIRST NAMES.

Me

b. 1986, HK.

I'm a writer. Plain and simple.

I write ads. Agency and in-house advertising experience in entertainment, government, lifestyle, food and finance industries. First language is ha ha ha, but also fluent in eeeek, awww and hmmmm.

I write poems. I’m the recipient of fellowships from the Provincetown Fine Arts Work Center, the Wisconsin Institute for Creative Writing, the Helene Wurlitzer Foundation, and the Yiddish Book Center. I’ve taught creative writing, literature and composition at Fordham University, University of Wisconsin-Madison, University of Houston, Brooklyn Poets, and elsewhere.

Other than that, I’m basically Beth from Wet Hot American Summer. And not just in spirit. From 2011-2017, I was the Residential Program Director of The Young Writers Workshop at the University of Virginia. 200 teens, 20 counselors, every summer. Best job I ever had.
